An acoustical partition meets either a rated or non-rated wall with a one-inch gap filled with continuous fire safing insulation. The joint is sealed with a typical fire-rated joint sealant per Underwriters Laboratories test reference WW-D-0067. The assembly maintains acoustic and fire separation performance at the intersection of intersecting metal stud partitions.
