A continuous twenty-two gauge minimum three-inch deep leg deflection track attaches to the overhead concrete-filled fluted steel deck at twelve inches on center maximum. The deck flute recesses fill completely with mineral wool insulation. The gypsum board and studs remain unattached to the deflection track within the designated clearance zone. Continuous two-inch wide by twenty-two gauge metal straps receive the gypsum board fastened at eight inches on center maximum. Spray-applied firestop material applies to each side, maintaining a minimum one-half inch overlap onto the gypsum board and the deck.
