Curtain wall head assembly integrated with cold-formed steel stud opening framing and a structural lintel at grid PK-1. The head rough opening is prepared with high-temperature resistant impermeable self-adhered waterproofing membrane that laps over the continuous structural angle and maintains a positive lap with the wall assembly air and moisture barrier. An insulated metal panel base trim is installed with mastic sealant to both sides above a pre-finished metal drip flashing with a return to the opening. The aluminum curtain wall head mullion connects to a sixteen millimeter pressure-treated plywood window header, with continuous J-trim at the perimeter of the window opening. Exterior and interior joints are sealed with caulking and backer rod, alongside perimeter opening rubberized adhesive and a return vapor barrier flashing to the frame of the aluminum curtain wall head mullion.
