The wall assembly terminates below a structural slab with a J runner track capping C-H studs and gypsum liner panels. A pre-formed mineral wool wall plug fills the gap between the top runner and the underside of the slab. Continuous acoustic sealant is applied at the track intersection for sound isolation. A sound attenuation blanket fills the stud cavity, finished with gypsum board on each side per the scheduled ceiling.
