A two-hour rated shaft wall intersects a demising partition with framing discontinued at the junction. Gypsum board layers from the shaft wall extend continuously to meet the gypsum board layers on the unit side. Acoustic sealant is applied at the wall joint, finished with corner tape per section 09 21 16.
