A rubber base transitions to a fiber-reinforced plastic wainscot above a concrete floor slab. A mill-finish aluminum channel secures the top of the rubber base and receives an inverted wainscot cap mold. Sealant is applied at painted walls where the transition assembly meets the vertical partition.
