This heavy concrete pavement section is used for truck docks and dolly pads. It consists of a six-inch Portland cement concrete slab placed directly over a seven-inch aggregate base course. The assembly requires suitable natural soils or structural site grading fill extending to suitable natural soils, as rigid pavements must not be established over non-engineered fills.
