A 12 gauge ceiling clip measuring 2 inches by 2 inches by 2 inches wide minimum is fastened to the underside of a steel wide flange beam with three power-actuated fasteners having a minimum 0.145-inch diameter. A bracing wire connects to the ceiling clip and extends downward to support the ceiling assembly. Fireproofing coats the steel wide flange beam above the connection. The fastener type and diameter are coordinated with the product evaluation report to suit all thicknesses of steel used on the project.
