A 1 1/2-inch outside diameter standard painted steel pipe handrail is mounted to a stud wall at a stair landing. The rail is anchored using wall brackets aligned with 2x10 treated wood blocking required within the stud wall. Bracket spacing is set at a maximum of 5 feet on center with equal spacing. The center height of the rail is dimensioned at 3 feet above the landing finished floor.
