This assembly shows a wall tile finish installed over a cementitious tile backerboard, which is mounted to a wall assembly as specified in the plans. The tile is adhered to the backerboard using a bond coat. At the base of the wall, a coved metal trim piece provides a transition between the tile and the concrete floor slab.
