A one-half inch tempered or float glass panel is secured in a CRL SR2S sidelite sill installed on a manufacturer-recommended saddle per manufacturer recommendations. The assembly bears on a stained wood sill, which is shimmed as necessary above a framed wall cavity containing batt insulation. Fasteners anchor through the saddle and wood sill into the underlying framing.
