A roof curb assembly supports a mechanical unit over fire-retardant wood blocking and roof insulation. A single-ply membrane extends up the manufactured curb, secured with plates and fasteners and sealed with a hot-air weld. Two and one-half inch Z-furring and a roof cover board finish the vertical curb surface, while a unit isolation curb with counter flashing provides weather protection at the mechanical equipment interface. A vapor retarder is positioned below the roof assembly.
