This assembly features a 3 inch by 3 inch by 1/4 inch hollow structural section (HSS) tube steel column centered on a 3 inch by 12 inch by 1/2 inch steel base plate. The base plate is anchored to the structural floor slab as required. The column is positioned adjacent to a wall type defined in the plans, with a 4 inch by 12 inch tube steel brace and a 2 inch by 12 inch tube steel stringer located above. All exposed steel is to be painted unless noted otherwise. Refer to performance specifications for specific engineering requirements and weld details.
