An intermediate landing for an exterior stair utilizes precast concrete tread-riser units supported by structural steel stringers. The precast treads attach via steel angle brackets welded to the stringer and bolted to the underside of the precast tread. The landing consists of a concrete slab poured over metal decking, which bears on a galvanized and painted steel angle and landing beam. A one-and-a-half-inch outside diameter standard steel pipe handrail and half-inch by two-inch extruded aluminum guardrail pickets spaced at four inches on center mount to the stair assembly.
