Floor tile is set in a thin-set mortar bed over a waterproof membrane applied directly to the concrete slab. A Schluter System Reno-TK transition profile anchors into the mortar bed to edge the tile and protect the adjacent carpet. The carpet meets the transition strip directly at the finished floor level.
