A 1-inch by 3-inch stainless steel post mounts to a structural tube steel stair stringer wrapped in five-eighths inch gypsum wallboard with a twenty gauge stainless steel toe guard. Stainless steel cables penetrate the post at three-and-a-half-inch typical vertical spacings. A one-and-a-half-inch outside diameter stainless steel handrail attaches to the post via an elbow and bracket at thirty-six inches above the finish floor. A one-inch by three-inch stainless steel top rail secures to the top of the post using half-inch by two-and-a-half-inch stainless steel standoffs. The entire guard and handrail assembly, including anchors and appurtenances, consists of brushed stainless steel.
