An aluminum threshold is embedded into the concrete slab at an exterior door transition, with a maximum half-inch and quarter-inch clearance height noted at the exterior grade. The door bottom seal engages the threshold in the closed position, while the interior side transitions to adjacent flooring finishes. Expansion joint or sealant details are provided at the exterior edge of the concrete slab.
