A fiber cement panel is fastened using a panel clip located right above the starter bar. The assembly utilizes a one-half-inch hat channel fastened to a Z-girt over a weather-resistive barrier per specification. A Perm-A-Barrier Ultra self-adhered flashing extends a minimum of six inches with through-wall flashing at the base. The weather-resistive barrier wraps up and around the wall transition to the wood soffit and metal track system.
