A painted steel channel stringer supports concrete-filled metal pan treads rising from the finish floor elevation at the bottom landing. A one-and-one-half-inch diameter standard steel pipe guardrail and a one-and-one-quarter-inch diameter standard steel pipe handrail are mounted on one-and-one-half-inch diameter standard steel pipe posts spaced at four feet on center maximum. All posts and rail components are welded to the stringer. All connections are welded and ground smooth.
