A pipe or plumbing vent stack penetrates the roof assembly and is sealed with a sheet lead flashing extending up the pipe to twelve inches above the finished roof. The flange is set in a six-inch minimum bed of mastic and stripped in with two plies of felt, with the flange primed before striping. One inch of bond breaker tape is applied at the top of the lead sheet beneath a seven-inch-wide elastomeric strip flashing with urethane color coat. A stainless steel draw band clamps the flashing assembly, finished with elastomeric sealant all around.
