An exterior wall assembly transitions to a storefront jamb mullion using a metal panel facade mounted on steel subgirts over half-inch exterior sheathing and steel studs per structural engineering. The backup wall is insulated with three-and-a-half-inch batt insulation and finished on the interior with five-eighths-inch gypsum board. A vapor-permeable liquid-applied air barrier and weather sealant protect the exterior layers. The storefront jamb mullion integrates with an aluminum jamb cover set flush with the edge of the jamb, sealed continuously with a backer rod and primary sealant.
