A storefront system is mounted on a waterproof concrete stem wall featuring a one-half-inch chamfer at the exterior edge and a clear silicone elastomeric coating. The aluminum sill member sits over a stainless steel formed sill dam with four-inch fully welded end dams, set in a pan of silicone sealant with a slope away from the building. Primary and secondary three-eighths-inch continuous sealant joints with backer rods seal the exterior junction, while an interior air seal and interior finish complete the base of the glass panel assembly.
