A steel guardrail and handrail assembly meets a stair landing at the transition from the stair stringer. The guardrail stands three feet six inches high above the stair nosing and landing level. A support angle connects the stair tread per detail to the steel landing support provided by the stair manufacturer. The stair stringer and handrail are also provided by the stair manufacturer.
