A concrete pit pilaster extends up from a mat slab foundation to support a structural wide-flange column and a buckling-restrained brace seen beyond per plan. The reinforced concrete slab features number five bars at twelve inches on center maximum with three inches of typical clearance. Vertical dowels matching the pilaster reinforcement are provided with standard hooks at the top and bottom. The foundation mat slab includes reinforcing per plan with standard hooks at the ends of the bars and three inches of typical clearance.
