An irrigation control assembly is housed within a thirteen by twenty inch valve box set flush with the finish grade in turf and shrub areas. A schedule forty PVC mainline feeds into the assembly through a schedule forty PVC tee, schedule eighty PVC nipple, and schedule eighty PVC fittings as required. An Asahi union PVC ball valve controls flow into a remote control valve, accompanied by a wye filter rotated parallel to a four inch deep bed of pea gravel. A preset pressure regulator connects via a schedule forty male adapter and lower lateral with schedule forty PVC forty-five degree ells to the PVC lateral line. Four bricks support the internal piping components above the gravel base, keeping the valve box free of soil. Twenty-four volt control wiring with waterproof connectors and thirty-six inches of excess wire coils inside the box alongside an identification tag.
