A steel column bears on a one-half-inch steel base plate set over one and one-half inches of non-shrink grout on a concrete slab on grade. Four five-eighths-inch diameter by six-inch Titen HD concrete screws anchor the base plate into the slab. Continuous bottom tracks and typical vertical framing studs flank the steel column.
