Adjacent concrete tilt-up wall panels meet at a stepped vertical joint measuring three-quarters of an inch wide. A backer rod is installed at each face of the wall joint, finished with continuous sealant spanning from the footing to the top of the panel. The joint accommodates the step between panels with eight-inch dimensions on the offset faces and a one-half-inch clearance gap.
