A built-up stud column is anchored to a concrete slab on grade using a continuous bottom track and Simpson SSC4.25 anchors secured with 3/8-inch diameter by 4-1/2-inch Titen HD bolts. Typical wall studs flank the built-up column, which consists of three vertical studs matching the typical wall stud section paired with two typical tracks. Five number 10 self-drilling screws connect the tracks to the studs on each side, supplemented by eight number 10 steel-to-steel screws spaced at 12 inches on center.
