A one-and-one-half-inch diameter steel pipe handrail is mounted to a wall section at three feet zero inches above finished floor to the top of the handrail. The pipe is supported by a one-half-inch plate handrail support welded or connected to a one-eighth-inch wall plate. Countersunk fasteners secure the wall plate to the wall assembly. All plate edges are ground smooth.
