Prefinished sheet metal head flashing is installed on site over a liquid applied flashing prestrip. The system incorporates a backup wall per assembly tag, a WRB membrane, Cascadia clips with a 1.75-inch vertical metal z-girt, and GRC cladding. Additional liquid applied flashing extends from the WRB over the sheet metal flashing to conceal fasteners, while a 1/2-inch silicone sealant with a backer rod ties into the continuous seal at the window perimeter. A factory-installed prefinished metal flashing with a hemmed edge and insect screen completes the exterior drainage plane above the window unit.
