A surface-mounted walk-off mat is set directly adjacent to floor tile over a concrete slab. A Schluter system Schiene profile terminates the tile edge, separating the mat from the hard flooring. A thin-set mortar bed combined with a waterproofing membrane applies directly over the concrete slab beneath the tile finish.
