A fire-resistive assembly occurs at the intersection of a slab edge and an exterior curtain wall. A one-hour rated fire-resistive shaft wall with gypsum sheathing terminates above a mineral wool filler and a painted one-hour rated fire-resistive sealant joint at the slab edge. A curtain wall vertical mullion features an attachment angle tied into the firestop assembly as specified in the project details. Spandrel aluminum panels integrate with the vertical mullion and framing components to maintain the facade continuity.
