This one-hour rated shaftwall assembly follows UL system design U415, utilizing one-inch gypsum board liner panels and one layer of five-eighths-inch gypsum board mounted on four-inch, twenty-gauge minimum C-H metal studs spaced at twenty-four inches on center. Three-and-a-half-inch thermal insulation fills the cavity between the metal studs.
