Precast concrete wall panels connect across a vertical joint using an 8x8 by one-foot-two-inch structural steel angle with five long stiffener plates welded to the plate with full penetration welds. Five number 9 by five-foot-long dowels and five diameter by five-inch-long welded studs anchor into the concrete assembly. A steel ledger with a nine-inch by one-foot-two-inch plate spans across the joint below, welded with typical five-sixteenth-inch fillet welds on three sides.
