A control joint assembly is integrated into a suspended gypsum board ceiling. Hanger rods support carrying channels, which in turn hold furring channels via furring channel clips and channel bridging. Gypsum board panels are secured to the stud runners using bugle head self-drilling drywall screws spaced at twelve inches on center. The ceiling framing incorporates an overlap of staggered carrying channels adjacent to the control joint to accommodate movement.
