The assembly consists of a two-hour wall framing configuration lined with two layers of Type X gypsum board on each side. A hollow metal frame interfaces with the wall opening, featuring gypsum board extended a minimum of one-half inch into the frame. A fourteen gauge steel Z clip secures the frame, attached with three welds per side to the frame and fastened with metal screws to the stud. Opening framing is provided per structural drawings, and the door is sized according to the door schedule.
