This roof expansion joint assembly features a 4-inch Emseal deck-to-deck roof cover joint with a termination bar secured over wood nailers and a KEE Fibertite roofing membrane. The joint is integrated into the roofing membrane per the manufacturer specifications and spans across structural framing lines defined by grid intersections. Beneath the wood nailers, the roof build-up incorporates rigid insulation supported by metal decking, a one-half-inch fully adhered cover board, and a vapor barrier turned up to the full height of the roof insulation to lap and seal against the air and water barrier. A compressible insulation layer with an insulation retainer and fasteners is positioned within the expansion gap.
