An exterior cane detection rail features a painted one-and-a-half-inch steel tube top rail supported by one-and-a-quarter-inch intermediate steel tube handrail posts spaced at four feet on center, with one-and-a-half-inch painted steel tube posts at the ends. The assembly passes through exterior hardscape and a crushed gravel base per landscape drawings. The post anchors to a six-by-six-by-quarter-inch steel base plate secured with four three-eighths-inch diameter expansion bolts into a concrete slab.
