Loading dock details show the installation of a mechanical pit leveler or dock leveler alongside compressible dock seals and rubber dock bumpers. The pit leveler must meet ANSI MH30.1-2000 test load specifications and withstand a ten thousand pound moving load. Dock seals are applied around the edges and top of the dock opening with a pad length compressive force of eighty pounds per square foot. The pad thickness depends on the specific type of dock leveler used, and seals must be installed prior to tenant occupancy.
