The cane bolt detail includes two five-eighths of an inch diameter by ten inches long minimum steel cane bolts with two inches long handles, guided by three-quarters of an inch diameter by two inches long steel pipes welded to the gate. Both hardware assemblies are painted to match the gates and spaced with specific dimensional clearances shown on the plan views.
