A metal runner track attaches directly to the cross-laminated timber deck or concrete floor slab. Acoustical insulation fills the stud cavity as required by the specific partition type. An additional layer of gypsum board on each side achieves an STC 50 acoustical rating. Flexible firestop sealant spans the full depth of the gypsum board on both sides at the floor junction.
