A cable or wire passes through a roof assembly consisting of a structural metal deck sprayed with one-hour fire-resistant material, roof insulation, a half-inch cover board, and a PVC roof membrane fully adhered with bonding adhesive. The penetration is flashed with a PVC membrane hot-air welded to the field membrane and secured at the top with a stainless steel clamping ring over a continuous bead of sealant approved by the roofing manufacturer. A stainless steel hood protects the clamping joint, and the cable or wire pipe requires independent anchoring to ensure stability.
