A wide-flange steel column bears on a steel base plate secured by four one-inch diameter anchor bolts with a specified embedment of one foot six inches. A one-and-a-half-inch layer of non-shrink grout fills the space beneath the base plate above the top of the footing. The base plate features a specified thickness "T" and projects six inches beyond the column face.
