This one-hour shaft wall assembly features two-and-one-half-inch steel C-T studs of twenty-five gauge minimum. The shaft side consists of one layer of one-inch proprietary Type X gypsum panels inserted between floor and ceiling runners with the T section of the C-T studs. The occupied side consists of one layer of five-eighths-inch Type X gypsum wall board. The cavity contains two-and-one-half-inch glass fiber acoustic batt insulation.
