An acoustic ceiling tile system terminates at a scheduled partition wall using an edge trim secured with a pop rivet at the fixed connection. The main or cross runner is supported by hanger wire, maintaining clearances of 3/4 inch minimum at the free connection and a span limitation of the lesser of 8 inches or one-fourth the length of the span. Edge trim connects to the partition as scheduled while framing the acoustic ceiling tile system.
