An 8-inch exterior wall expansion joint occurs between two metal stud walls framed with exterior sheathing and 2 inches of insulation, finished with an exterior insulation and finish system. An exterior flush wall expansion seal fills the 8-inch joint width with a 4-inch seal depth.
