A non-structural metal framing track terminates beneath a concrete slab with a gap packed with fire safing insulation and smoke seal. Gypsum board layers finish both faces of the stud wall with an acoustic blanket insulation placed in the cavity. Additional drywall layers are applied per the specific partition type requirements.
