Tactile signage is installed on the strike side of the door, positioned nine inches minimum from the edge of the door. The centerline of the tactile characters is located between forty-eight inches minimum and sixty inches maximum above the finish floor. An eighteen-inch minimum clear floor space is provided adjacent to the door outside the door swing arc. Additional clearance requirements include a forty-five degree swing clearance angle and eighteen inches minimum from adjacent obstructions.
