A fully recessed, fire-rated fire extinguisher cabinet is installed within a scheduled partition wall, matching the surrounding fire resistance rating. Sealant is applied along the perimeter joints of the cabinet frame. The operable handle of the cabinet is positioned at a maximum height of four feet above the finished floor, with the interior bottom of the cabinet maintaining a minimum height of two feet six inches. A scheduled wall base is detailed at the junction of the partition and the floor.
