A one-and-one-half-inch diameter steel handrail is primed, painted, and anchored to a concrete panel with a minimum one-and-one-half-inch clearance. A one-quarter-inch by three-inch diameter steel plate is welded to the handrail and secured to the panel using three-quarter-inch by three-inch expansion bolts spaced at six feet on center and six inches from each end. All welds are ground smooth with pits filled as required, and the handrail returns to the wall.
